ASR Cold Air Intake System- The industry’s first ever developed true CAI system for the E60 M5/E63 M6.  The phrase ”Cold Air Intake“ is being falsely used in the performance industry by many manufacturer’s.  Simply changing the design of an intake system doesn’t necessarily qualify it as a CAI. 

A true CAI system draws air in directly from a cold source, thereby never facing the dreaded problem of heat soak.  The ASR CAI is comprised of Billet CNC’d air mass meter housings along with factory style Billet coolant line and windshield wiper reservoir brackets.  Also this system comes equipped with a Billet CNC’d fitment for the factory air pump hose, thus allowing factory smooth cold start idling.  Black crinkle powder coating complements factory engine bay look.

The air filters are made from top quality T-304 stainless steel. Totally unique, the entire filtration element is made from a fine stainless steel T-304 mesh (200 micron mesh and 150 micron crown). This mesh means the filter will never wear out, and have substantially less restriction than any other filter.  Another feature is the super fine pattern of the mesh, which straightens the airflow and dramatically reduces aerodynamic tumble (restrictive turbulence). There is also an integrated fine mesh at the top of the filter, further improving the airflow capabilities.

Produces an additional 20whp & 26wtq @ 4000 rpm over a stock airbox with charcoal filters already removed.

Overall max gains are 12whp and 15wtq, also compared to stock airbox with charcoal filters already removed.
