"This is a complete bolt on kit engineered using Aircraft Grade Billet 6061 Hard Coat Anodized Aluminum.

AA chose reliability over that extra 1-2 rwhp from a smaller pulley since there is a chance of making the engine run hotter or possibly overheat (which was noticed in both DCT cars and Manual cars on and off the track)

Retains the ”Factory Crank hex Drive Adapter“, so the pulley kit does not modify factory harmonics or dampening.

Stronger side walls were the last key element in choosing size over a smaller design.

NOTE:

On all newer model E9X M3s. as of production date June, 2008 and newer, BMW changed to a DPK style belt which has multiple grooves on both sides of the belt. This now made the original single sided PK belt obsolete when used on the newer model E9x M3s. The engineers at Active Autowerke saw this concern and had a new, precise DPK belt manufactured just for the newer E9x M3s. So, if you own a pre June-2008 or newer, you need not worry about PK or DPK and underdrive pulleys when you have the assurance of the Active Autowerke Engineers having your back covered.
